What is voices of the dead?
LiTFUSE Voices of the dead was created to provide a space and opportunity for artists to write and express grief, loss, and the celebration of life. In Conjunction with TA&H annual Dia de Los Muertos Community Celebration, the stage is set in front of the large community ofrenda. This tranquil and spiritual experience emerges the audience and artists within the space. Guests not only can join in on the open mic experience but also get to enjoy the ofrenda, gallery exhibition featuring local artists and the many other Dia de Los Muertos installations. We invite a diverse range of poets to be our headliners which have included Dr. Yesenia Hunter (2024), Tyrone Ross Thompson (2024), Jesus Sandoval (2023), Alexus Mendoza (2023), Angel Ramirez (2022), Karla Maravilla (2023), and Madeline Aliviso Ramirez (2022).
