The Portland Cello Project made its mark on a new venue: the Mighty Tieton Warehouse in 2011 and 2012. These special shows were presented by Tieton Arts & Humanities, with proceeds going to benefit our many community building and arts promoting programs and projects. Tieton Farm and Creamery and Tieton Cider Works were also be on hand showcasing their local and organic cheeses and cider, respectively. 10xTieton was open for visitors as well as the loft gallery.

Since the Cello Project’s inception in 2007, the group has wowed audiences all over the country with extravagant performances, mixing genres and blurring musical lines and perceptions wherever they go. No two shows are alike, with a repertoire now numbering over 800 pieces of music you wouldn't normally hear coming out of a cello. The Cello Project's stage setup ranges from the very simple (4-6 cellos), to the all out epic (which has included 12 cellos playing with full choirs, winds, horns, and numerous percussion players).
