ABOUT

Jurors Adam Gildar of Gildar Gallery in Denver, CO and Rodolfo Salgado and Susanna Crum of Calliope Arts in Louisville, KY looked at 963 submissions from all over the world to create a beautiful exhibition that celebrates all things small. “I looked for art that contained multitudes within a very small space of 10 x 10 x 10in,” said Gildar, continuing that he sought out “art that regardless whether the means are sparse or highly wrought left me asking more complex questions than I came here with.”

10x10x10xTieton features 195 works by 120 artists from around the world. With no media restrictions, the exhibition has a broad range of pieces on display, from sculpture to painting, book arts, photography and everything in between. All works are printed in a handbound exhibition catalog by Marquand Books and made in Tieton at Paper Hammer Studios. Every exhibited artist receives a free copy and additional copies are available for sale during the exhibition.

Visitors are encouraged to attend the opening reception at the Mighty Tieton Warehouse on Saturday, August 13th from 12 - 3pm. Jurors Rodolfo Salgado and Susanna Crum will be on hand to pass out Juror’s Awards. Food and drink will provided by Tieton Cider Works, Bale Breaker, and Our Kitchen. Chinook Fest is presenting a performance by the Common Deer. A unique blend of cello, mandolin, guitar, harmonica, banjo, hand percussion, and vocal harmonies, The Common Deer offers a distinct and uncommon sound.

Those unable to make the reception can see the exhibition during regular gallery hours on Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 12 - 3pm.
